Launched in 2010, the MIFF Furniture Design Competition (MIFF FDC) is Malaysia’s leading platform for discovering and nurturing young furniture designers.
Held annually in conjunction with the Malaysian International Furniture Fair (MIFF), it connects creativity with opportunity — giving emerging designers the stage to present original ideas to a global audience of manufacturers, buyers, and media.

Playful. Practical. Purposeful: Furniture for Generation Alpha
This year’s challenge invites designers to create smart, sustainable, and joyful spaces for Generation Alpha — a new generation that learns, plays, and grows differently.
Participants are tasked to design a bedroom set that bridges Millennial values and Alpha expectations.
